MATERIALS:
Red Heart Supersaver Yarn (worsted weight) - Orange and Brown
Hook Size G
Yarn Needle
Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec, hdc, dc.
Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM
R1: With Orange, ch 18, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 3 chs, dc in next 7 chs, hdc in next 3 chs, sc in next 2 chs. Ch 1, turn.
R2: Working in BL only, sc in next 2 sc, hdc in next 3 hdc, dc in next 7 dc, hdc in next 3 hdc, sc in last 2 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-8: Rep R 2.
BORDER: Sc evenly around entire pumpkin. Join with sl st and fasten off.
STEM:
R1: Attach brown in the sc at the end of the 3rd row from the right. Place 5 sc evenly centered along the edge. (see photo for placement of stem) Ch 1, turn.
R2: Sc dec over 2 sc, sc in next sc dec over last 2 sc. Ch 1, turn.
R3: Sc dec over 2 sts, sc in last. Ch 1, turn.
R4: Sc in ea st. Fasten off.
Using the photo as a guide, or be creative and design your own, stitch on a face using brown yarn.
