The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Caron Simply Soft Yarn (4ply worsted weight)
     (White = Less than 6 ounces)
     (Pink = Less than 6 ounces)

I Hook

Stitches: ch, dc, hdc, sc, sl st, picot.

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hk.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


R1: With White, Ch27, dc in the 4th ch from the hook.
Dc in ea rem ch. (25dc) [Right Side]

R2: Ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn.
*Dc in next 2 dc. Sk next 2dc.
5dc in next dc (shell made)
Sk next 2dc.
Rep from * twice.
Dc in ea of last
3dc. (10dc & 3 shells)

R3: With Pink, Ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn.
*Dc in next 2dc. Ch2.
Sc in center dc of next shell. Ch2.
Rep from * twice.
Dc in ea of last 3dc.

R4: With Pink, Rep R2.

R5: With White, Rep R3.

R6: With White, Rep R2.

R7: With Pink, Rep R3.

R8: With Pink Rep R2.

Rep Rs 5-8... 19 times.

Rep Rs 5-6 once.

BORDER

Working across last row made...

Change to Pink, Ch1, sc in same st.
Sk next dc.
(Hdc, picot, dc, picot, hdc) in next dc.
Sk next dc.
Sc in next dc.
* Sc in next dc.
Sk next dc.
(Hdc, picot, dc, picot, hdc) in next dc.
Sk next dc.
Sc in next dc.
Rep from * 3 times.

Work down the side into the row ends of each 2 row stripe as follows:

Sc around post of first dc (See Photo: Point "A")
Hdc around post of same dc.
Picot
Dc in the base of same dc. (this is where the two dc meet in the center of the stripe)

Picot
Hdc around post of next dc. (See Photo: Point "C")
Sc around post of same dc.

Rep from * across entire side.

END

Working into the unworked loops along the foundation chain...
Sc in first st (end of the same st you last worked around)
Sk next st.
(Hdc, picot, dc, picot, hdc) in next st.
Sk next st.
Sc in next st.
* Sc in next st
Sk next st.
(Hdc, picot, dc, picot, hdc) in next st.
Sk next st.
Sc in next st.
Rep from * 3 times.

Note: the last sc should be in the corner st.

SIDE

Work same as first side except work over all carried strands of yarn as you go.

Fasten off.
