Baby Washcloth

Measures
7" x 7-1/4"

The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Mary Maxim Crochet Cotton - Mercerized Sportweight
Steel Hook - Size 1

Stitches: ch, sc, hdc, dc.

Difficulty: EASY-MEDIUM


R1: With White, ch 40, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch. Ch 3, turn. (39 sc)
Ch 3, turn. (note: turning chain 3 counts as the first hdc and ch 1.)

R2: Sk next st. Hdc in next st. *Ch 1, sk next st, hdc in next st. Rep from * across. Ch 1, turn.

R3: Sc in same st as beg ch-1. Sc in each ch-1 sp and in each sc across. Ch 3, turn.
(note: turning chain 3 counts as the first hdc and ch 1.)

R4-33: Repeat Rows 2 & 3.

Row 34: Repeat Row 2.

Row 35: Sc in same st as beg ch-1. Sc in each ch-1 sp and in each sc across. Ch 3. Do not turn.

EDGING
(The edging is worked in the large holes around the outer side of the washcloth.)

4 dc in the corner space. Sc in the next space.
* 5 dc in next space. Sc in next space.
Repeat from * around entire cloth.
Join with sl st in the top of the beg ch-3.

Fasten Off & Weave in Ends.
